Doug Dowson is a senior economic analyst at Sonecon, LLC. Prior to joining Sonecon, Doug worked as a research assistant at the Peterson Institute for International Economics where his research focused on macroeconomic and international financial issues including global imbalances, exchange rate policy, and international trade and investment. Doug holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from U.C. Berkeley and a M.I.A. in International Economic Policy from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs. While at Columbia, Doug served as a Rosenthal Fellow in the U.S. Treasury's Office of International Affairs and participated in the European Union Visitors Program in Brussels.
