Communications
As part of our services, Sonecon principals and advisers take part in strategic public relations campaigns designed to promote the firm's work in the media, Congress and Executive Branch. Well-informed, credentialed, and highly credible spokespersons, our team members are available for special appearances as well as ongoing communication campaigns. Consider these examples:
Sonecon chairman Robert Shapiro is the chair of American Task Force Argentina (ATFA), a large member organization promoting resolution of Argentina's outstanding debts to its foreign bondholders. Sonecon recruited former U.N. Ambassador Nancy Soderberg as co-chair and former Assistant Attorney General Robert Raben as Executive Director; and has held public forums and private meetings with government officials in Washington, Berlin, Rome, Miami and Buenos Aries.
Sonecon chairman Robert Shapiro also chairs the Climate Task Force [link to www.climatetaskforce.com]. Sonecon recruited as co-chair Harvard lecturer Elaine Kamarck, former senior domestic advisor to Vice President Albert Gore, and will hold a series of public forums and private meetings on these issues.
Kevin Hassett, director of economic policy studies at the American Enterprise Institute and a senior republican economic advisor, teamed with Sonecon chairman Robert Shapiro on a series of studies and public events on ways to promote broadband access by lower-income households.
Sonecon chairman Robert Shapiro also is director of the Globalization Initiative for NDN, a Washington public policy organization, concentrating on the economic challenges posed by globalization for U.S. and other Western businesses and workers. NDN's efforts to propose policies ensuring broad access to IT training for all workers, has been adopted by Senator Barack Obama in his presidential campaign.
